Payment will be processed and is required at the time of registration. Students are considered registered when tuition is paid in full.
Refund only possible if student withdraws by phone or in writing at least 10 days prior to the first class— NO EXCEPTIONS.
If the class is cancelled by EFC, a full refund will be given. Students will be notified of any scheduling changes. We will contact students if class is cancelled due to severe weather and a make-up class will be scheduled.

Discover how to use impression dies to craft rings, pendants, earrings, or just build your own handmade forms using these dies in a hydraulic press to achieve texture and detail! Students will gain hands-on experience in annealing, using a jeweler’s saw, and soldering, while also having a chance to explore their own creativity. All materials, including tools and supplies are provided. (Ages 16+)

This class will cover the basics of composition, value, color mixing, mark making with brush and palette knife, and how to have fun while learning! Each class will start with a short lecture and demo. Speed painting and sketching drills are not just a blast but will help work out possible problems ahead of painting. You will end up creating several studies and one or more of your own masterpieces from a favorite photo, each working at your own pace. (Ages 13+)
Fridays, June 6 - June 27

Take your woodburning skills to the next level with this intermediate pyrography class. We will create a detailed chickadee perched on a branch. This class will focus on realistic textures, shading techniques, and fine details to bring your bird to life. We’ll cover advanced line work, layering for depth, and methods to create soft feather textures and wood grain effects. Your supply kit includes a natural basswood plank, graphite paper, and sandpaper. Some prior experience with pyrography is recommended, but all skill levels are welcome! All materials will be provided. (Ages 16+)

Beginner students are introduced to fundamental metalsmithing skills including designing, sawing, filing, forging, finishing, creating texture, soldering, and making bezels. Beginner Plus students will take the next steps to advance their skills. Forged rings and bracelets, jewelry with bezels, and cool earrings will be added to your jewelry collection! All basic studio materials are provided including copper. Sterling silver and stones are available for purchase.
Thursdays, April 24 – June 19 (No Class May 1st)

This class is for students who have basic metalsmithing skills (designing, sawing, filing, soldering, and polishing) and want more experience refining their skills. Create a project of your choice out of wire or sheet metal: a ring, earrings, bracelet, or pendant. All materials are provided— including copper for practice, but sterling silver is available to purchase. (ages 16+)
Wednesdays, May 7 - June 4

Students will be introduced to all the basic skills in this 15-hour afternoon beginner class. Learn how to design your own pieces, and practice sawing, piercing, filing, polishing, texturing, soldering, and making bezels. Students will go home with a finished project after each class, a pendant using sheet metal, ring, bezel set stone, and a forged bracelet. All materials are provided, including copper for practice. Sterling silver is available to purchase.

This 8-week Monday night course is for beginners who have little or no experience working with clay. Explore several pottery techniques from handbuilding, using coils, slabs and pinch pots, to throwing on a wheel. Glazes and firings included. Bring a towel to use during class. (Ages 16+)

In this class designed specifically for children, students will explore a variety of pottery making techniques from wheel throwing to hand building using coils, slabs, and pinch pots. Students may choose to focus on functional or sculptural pieces, going from simple to more complex forms. Returning students will also be introduced to new surface design techniques including slip trailing and sgraffito. Bring a towel to use during class.

This course will introduce simple throwing techniques, with weekly demos and instruction given on the wheel. Beginning and intermediate students will be guided toward creating a variety of forms. Continuing students can refine and expand their capabilities to work on more challenging forms, matching sets, larger pieces, and/ or special projects. Glazes and firings included. Bring a towel to use during class. (Ages 16+)

This 4-week Thursday night course caters to both beginners eager to explore a new medium and individuals seeking to enhance and broaden their pottery making skills. Students will have the opportunity to engage in hand building techniques such as coils, slabs, and pinch pots, as well as wheel throwing. Participants can opt to concentrate on hand building, wheel work, or a combination of both. You will be encouraged to learn new techniques and experiment with a variety of forms. Glazes and firings included. Bring a towel to use during class. (Ages 16+)

This fun and intensive workshop will introduce you to the basics of how to throw on the potter’s wheel from start to finish. Ideal for students who haven’t worked in clay or haven’t touched clay in years. Everyone will complete at least one small piece to take home after it has been fired. Bring a towel to class. (Ages 16+)

Learn the technique of using acrylics while creating your own seacape! A versatile medium, acrylics can be used in thin layers like watercolors or with opaque applications like oil paint. Using color, line, composition, texture and form, students will experiment with different ways to use the medium. Students may bring their own photo images, though photos will also be provided. Open beginners and experienced artists. Materials fee includes instructional packet, canvas, acrylic paint set, palette and brushes to take home. (Ages 13+)

Learn to needle felt while making your own colorful turtle (about 4” long) to use as a pincushion or to display in your home. Make a realistic shell pattern or get creative with your own design. Basic wool sculpting techniques, including wrapping and shaping, blending colors, and surface felting will be covered. Learn about basic tools, felting surfaces, gauges of needles and their best uses, and types of wool best suited for needle felting. Bring your own pad and needles if you have them, or buy the tool kit. Materials fee includes $20 Supply Pack and optional $10 Tool Kit (needles and felting pad to keep). (Ages 15+)

In this fun class, students will learn how to weave a basic square basket that will be great for storing napkins or whatever you desire! The square form is the base for many different style baskets. These baskets will be woven with 3/8” natural flat reed that contains beautiful colored accents. To finish off the baskets, students will also learn how to weave a standard rim to the top of the basket. Open to all skill levels.
