This versatile 8-week Monday afternoon course allows students to choose their own focus—whether specializing in hand building, mastering the wheel or combining both disciplines to create a wide variety of functional and sculptural forms. Glazes and kiln firings are included in the tuition. Please bring a towel to use during class.

Each week will focus on a new project using one of these techniques and students will also be encouraged to bring their own unique ideas for an extra project of their choosing. Students will also explore texture and glaze combinations that can be added to pieces to enhance the beauty of each finished project. Bring a hand towel to use during class.

Students will explore and practice several foundational pottery making techniques, ranging from handbuilding methods like coils, slabs and pinch pots, to the fundamentals of throwing on the pottery wheel. This comprehensive course allows you to focus on your preferred method or combine both to create a variety of forms. Glazes and kiln firings are included in the tuition. Each week students will be introduced to various methods and materials, using copper wire, sheet metal and stones. Students will learn to make domed rings, Russian wedding rings, cuff/bangle bracelets, textured earrings and jewelry with bezel set stones. Basic studio materials are provided, including copper wire and sheet, students are welcome to bring their own sterling silver.

Beginning and intermediate students will be guided toward creating a variety of functional forms. Continuing students can refine their skills and expand their capabilities to work on more challenging forms, cohesive matching sets, larger pieces, and custom special projects. Perfect for beginners and returning painters alike, this weekly skill-building course guides you through core techniques to create vibrant finished artwork. You’ll master water control, color mixing, and textures like salt, lifting and dry brushing. Learn negative space, masking and glazing for luminous shadows, alongside blooms and backruns for organic, rustic effects. All materials are provided, or feel free to bring your own!

Students will be encouraged to refine techniques across both disciplines, from handbuilding, using coils, slabs and pinch pots, to working on the pottery wheel. You may choose to focus on either handbuilding, the wheel, or both, to learn advanced techniques and experiment with a variety of complex forms. All studio glazes and kiln firings are included. Design your own pieces by practicing sawing, piercing, filing, polishing, texturing, soldering and making bezels. Students will go home with a finished project after each class, from pendants using sheet metal, to ring, bezel set stone pieces and a forged bracelet. Basic materials are provided, including copper for practice, students are welcome to bring their own sterling silver.

Perfect for both complete beginners and those familiar with the practice, this unique technique blends art and psychology to help reduce stress, process emotions and unlock subconscious creativity. Using smooth lines and vibrant colors, you will learn how to transform chaotic thoughts into beautiful, flowing abstract compositions. This hands-on workshop provides a welcoming, mindful space to connect with your inner self, learn a rewarding new artistic tool, and create a striking original work of art to take home.

Each class will start with a short lecture and demo. Speed painting and sketching drills are not just a blast but will help work out possible problems ahead of painting. You will end up creating several studies and one or more of your own masterpieces from a favorite photo, each student working at your own pace. Materials list will be provided.

For all levels, discover the wonders and challenges of watercolor while learning to capture the beauty of the season. Working from observation and imagination, students will learn to “let loose” and embrace the process. Techniques covered will include “alla prima” and the painterly style — letting the paint flow while also controlling it and taking advantage of “happy accidents.” Photos and demonstrations will be provided. All materials are provided, but students are also welcome to bring their own supplies if preferred.

You will learn to use traditional inks and specialized tools to create unique, swirling designs on a variety of provided papers, mastering techniques that produce beautiful results in just a few minutes. Perfect for a multitude of future creative projects, this addictive craft is accessible to all skill levels; just be sure to wear casual clothes or an apron—and bring your glasses—as you dive into this meditative and colorful process!

You will start by setting up the sturdy base, learning to space and secure your structural spokes and securing the handle. From there, you’ll master basic weaving techniques to build up the walls of your basket. This medium-sized, highly functional basket measures approximately 14” wide and stands 8.5” tall (reaching 14” total with the handle)—making it the perfect size for farmer’s market hauls, home storage, or a beautiful handmade gift. All premium reed, handles, and specialty tools are included; just bring your enthusiasm and go home with a finished heirloom piece!

Ideal for absolute beginners or those who haven’t touched clay in years, you’ll be amazed at what you can create in such a short time! Everyone will complete at least one small piece (and potentially up to six) to take home after it has been fired. Bring a towel to use during class.

Stop making mud, learn essential color theory to confidently control hue, value, and saturation in your work. Through guided exercises that include tinting and shading, exploring value relationships, and neutralizing with complementary colors, you will quickly learn to control your palette and create harmonious color schemes. We will then use focused color exercises to match paint chips to sharpen your perception and understanding of hue. Ultimately, you will apply these skills to create a colorful landscape painting, walking away with useful color charts and a strengthened ability to confidently navigate color in your own creative work. All materials are provided.

Choose to make one large centerpiece for fall, or two smaller pumpkins. Explore basic wool sculpting techniques, including wrapping, shaping, blending colors and surface felting. Learn about felting tools and surfaces, various gauges of needles, and types of wool best suited for needle felting. Supply packet will include enough wool for two small or one large pumpkin, felting needles and pad. Some felting experience helpful. Materials fee includes a $20 supply pack and an optional $10 tool kit (needles and felting pad to keep).

This class is the perfect opportunity to create timeless, handmade holiday decor for your home or to give as gifts. During our first session, you’ll learn foundational clay techniques to sculpt a Christmas Tree Tealight inspired by classic vintage ceramic trees, a cheerful snowman, an ornament or a collection of festive holiday miniatures. You’ll use versatile white clay to shape your forms, adding whimsical textures, cutout details for light to shine through and custom sculptural accents. On day two, add the perfect finishing touches by painting your pieces with colorful glazes before they head to the kiln. All materials, including tea-lights for your trees, are included, and you’ll complete up to 3–5 holiday pieces to cherish for seasons to come.

You will learn how to design and construct a seamless, incredibly soft and colorful hat completely from scratch. Using premium merino wool fibers, a custom plastic resist, delicate silk, water, a little soap, and plenty of rolling and agitation, you will watch loose fibers transform into a durable, warm, and stylish accessory customized to your personal flair. No knitting or sewing required. Please bring 2 towels and a good pair of scissors from home; all other specialized felting materials are provided. The felting is done in 5 minute increments so you can pace yourself.

Starting from scratch, you will learn how to weave a generous 13” x 21” x 6” herb gathering basket. Students will construct a sturdy rectangular base, weave smooth walls, and integrate classic, built-in rim handles for a durable, seamless finish. Perfect for harvesting garden flowers, organizing your home, or displaying linens, this large and versatile heirloom piece is beautiful, functional, and approachable for all skill levels. All premium materials and tools are included—just bring your creativity and walk away with a gorgeous, handmade basket!

Throughout the session, you will create a charming mushroom design on a 7-inch natural basswood round, all while mastering the fundamental pillars of the craft. Students will be guided through every essential stage of the process, from prepping your wood surface with sandpaper, to sketching or transferring your artwork using graphite paper. Once your design is set, you’ll learn to handle a pyrography pen to execute clean outlines, smooth shading and rich textures. With no prior experience necessary and a full supply kit provided—including the wood slice, pencils and professional tools—this class offers everything you need.

In this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the basics of fused glass while being guided step-by-step through creating your holiday keepsake. Starting with a glass sweater base, the real fun begins as you “paint” your piece using a vibrant assortment of colored glass bits, frits, stringers and fun embellishments like snowflakes and holly. No prior glass-cutting experience is required—just come ready to experiment and have fun! All supplies, tools, instruction and kiln firing are included, and your finished creation will be fired at the instructor’s studio and ready for pickup within 10 days.

You’ll sift colored glass powder onto round copper discs and fuse it with a torch, using stencils, glass rods and glass flowers to create brilliant, custom designs—the hardest part is choosing your colors! Safety is paramount: N95 masks and safety glasses are provided and students must wear closed-toe shoes, hair tied back and an old shirt or apron. Bring safety glasses that fit over regular glasses if needed.

Perfect for all skill levels, this hands-on class guides you through using sharp, barbed needles and vibrant wool roving to transform loose fibers into adorable, three-dimensional garden personalities. You will learn the fundamentals of shaping, firming and adding charming details like root tails, leafy tops and expressive faces. This relaxed, step-by-step session guarantees plenty of one-on-one guidance so you can take your time crafting your unique root-crop characters. Materials fee includes an instructional packet, wool, needles and foam mat to take home.
